The packhouses and Pre-grading

LOIRE EXPORT works closely with carefully selected number of packhouses in the Loire Valley and in the South East.

All of the packhouses comply with food, safety and hygiene norms and are approved by our supermarket customers; they adopted the BRC standard (British Retail Consortium) which implies the following 3 criteria:
- Adoption of HACCP techniques.
- An efficient quality documentation system.
- Check systems to ensure that environmental norms are met by packhouse, packer and personnal.

  Each packhouse is equipped with :
- electronic grading machines,
- latest state of the art cold store and atmosphere controlled chambers ULO (Ultra Low Oxygen),
- refrigerated platforms.
Pre grading

Sizing gives LOIRE EXPORT increased flexibilty and enables our customer demands to be met more swiftly. LOIRE EXPORT and its growers tend to encourages the adoption of this pre-grading technique.
