Quality

Food safety : A major concern of our association

- HACCP and BRC certification
HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) is another recommended method to determine and reduce the risk of contamination.

In the area of apple production the HACCP encompasses all actions undertaken from the harvest right through to dispatch. The group’s packhouses have all adopted HAACP growing techniques and BRC standard (British Retail Consortium).

- LOIRE EXPORT a member of the EUREP GAP Association
EUREP GAP (Euro Retailer Produce Working Group – Good Agricultural Practice) was formed in 1997 by European retailers with the aim to promote the use of integrated production of fruit , vegetables, plants, cut flowers and potatoes.

EUREP GAP recommends certain practices for the way ahead.

These recommendation cover all the parts of the production chain. In brief EUREPGAP co -relates closely with ICM because there is a clear commitment to integrated production and its specifications relate to the minimum use of agro chemical products, full product traceability, efficient use of resources, awareness of the environment and worker safety and welfare among fruit growers.

EUREP members recognize the necessity of having one unique and standardized traceability system from the orchard to the shop shelf.

It is in this framework that LOIRE EXPORT has joined EUREPGAP since 2001. We actively inform our growers of the latest initiatives and encourage them to go further down the " green road "..
